I am starting trucking school at SAGE on 9/4/07. I just need to get my DOT physical.

Concerning the physical, whatdo they do? Are they going to cup my nugget pouch? My only concern is that my lower back is screwed up right now. I'm going to see a chiro on Mon. I don't see how I could fail. I see a lot of buffet bandits driving trucks.

Any info on the physical is welcome.

If you feel both of the doctor's hands on your shoulders during the rectal exam, don't worry, it's a "new technique".

Colts Fan .... Depending on where they send you .... where it comes to your back .. I've had several of them and 1 office will ask you to just bend over - touch your toes, another one had me pick up a mile carton with 25 and 50 pds in each ... just use your legs (like you always should) to kneal down to pick up the weight, and slowly lower it back down. My low back hurt alot, but I was able to get through the test and got my approval. ................ Have your Chiro. walk you through the process of picking up heavy items for the physical. ..... Good luck

i thought my DOT physical was a joke. they checked my pee, ears, eyes, and blood pressure.( if its too high, they let you relax with the lights off for a bit then they try it again).
they made me move my arms around and i think i had to bend and twist.

it took about 10 minutes. I actually waited around longer than the physical was.

this was the one i needed for my DMV med card, i would assume that a actual job physical may be more involved.

I worked for a bread company as a driver several years ago where we had to do strength and endurance test that were pretty serious. but, that job did involve alot of phisical work.

I,ve yet to have my nugget pouch violated for a job.
who knows, you may get lucky

They'll fondle your nuts and make you turn your head and cough, to check for inguinal hernias.

One time the doctor didn't wear a glove. I'm still pissed off about that. I don't want another man feeling up my nut bucket.
