Passenger mirror. I had the mirror pin, at the top, made of steel. Be sure to allow a little extra wire to allow the door to open.

The pin is what allows the mirrow to pivot. It was one of the few pieces of metal in my truck. But anyplace that the magnet will stick to will work if it still has a view of the sky.

most of the truckstops carry a little plate the you screw into your cb antenna mount then you screw your cb antenna back in and you can put you xm/sirius antenna on it. myself i just like the skylight way better that way i don't have any wires going out of the cab

I second this one, assuming you have a condo with a skylight. I have the stock "mouse" antenna that came with my radio. My condo skylight has a plastic inside cover, I just attached velcro to the cover and back of the antenna, and feed the wire through the "cubbies" down the door jam under dash and up to the radio.
It get great signal reception, up there.

Think non opening sunroof. Some trucks have them.

If you use the little car antenna that comes with most sat radios, do not mount it outside of the truck and run the wire through a door or window opening if that door is going to be used very often. Those wire are very fragile and break easily.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.
