I see alot of these Landstar straight trucks running round with big sleepers.
Do they make comprable money to tractor trailors?
How do they run--mostly team???
How do you get on with them and what class licence?
Thanks for any responses

Landstar is an agent based O/O company. They require experience and a truck that meets all DOT regulations.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

"Do they make comprable money to tractor trailors? Dunno.
How do they run--mostly team??? Yes, some.
How do you get on with them and what class licence?" Know how to run a business, buy a straight truck, call the 800 number in Jacksonville, have a Class B with endorsements and you'll be running expedited freight. BOL
Landstar requires a minimum of 1 year driving experience, as I recall. Whether you can make as much driving a straight truck hauling expedited freight is more up to you and your business abilities than the carrier. Landstar is agent based and it is up to you to find the better paying agents.
Other expedited companies will contract with fleet owners who in turn will hire drivers to drive their trucks.
Everything I need to know about driving a truck I learned from watching "DUEL"
Thanks for the responces
thanks
