Default Will Bankruptcy kill interest from good company?

I can pretty much meet all other requirements, but bankruptcy is in process and hopefully gone in a few months to start fresh.

Is bankruptcy death with a 'good' company? If one of the several 'good' companies is out of reach, then its hardly worth the effort to have 'cheesey' companies rape my dac report unrestricted, which effects my personal insurance and job take home pay rates indefinitely.

This has certainly been an interesting career invesigation otherwise. This site has incredible information to make informed decisions. And this enlightened question arose from a recruiter on this site justifying the DAC reports utility, as compared to credit reports. Indeed.

There is quite a large ratio of experts on this site that seem quite knowledgable who can hopefully guide me. Its time for me to poot or get off the pot.

The only thing bankruptcy would affect would be financing your school for a Cdl,but I assume you already have a cdl,so you should be good to go.

Excellent anaylses. Yep, I always talk to "Fleece Operaors", but never let them see my license number or ssn, lol.

And don't have cdl, but using wia to finance. Never do 18% ever again if can help it. That's like nails in your financial coffin.

This is sooo true! Fleece operator scammers see an eager young new driver wanting his own new shiny truck and, like vultures, are ready to pounce! 8)

I do not think a "bankruptcy" will make a lick of difference as to who will hire you.

And if you are asked to sign a DAC/USIS release that even includes the verbiage that indicates that they will "check your credit"..... sign it.

I have worked for several companies, and just about every release I signed for the DAC investigation had "credit information" included, but have yet to ever have my credit checked.

What is far, far more important is your MVR and Criminal History... or lack of it....that is. 8)
Forrest Gump was right....and some people literally strive to prove it.....everyday. Strive not to be one of "them".... And "lemmings" are a dime a dozen!

Remember: The "truth WILL set you free"! If it doesn't "set you free"....."it will trap you in the cesspool of your own design".

They lost my original "avatar"....oh well.

I worked for an aggregate company (rock quarry) that wouldnt hire if you had a bankruptsy. They figured if you werent financially responcible in your personally life you could be a liability with their equipment and a safety issue with others on your crew from the stress of financial woes. Thats the only company I have ever worked for that viewed it that way.

Yeah, but OTR carriers don't have that luxury with the astronomical churn rates in that biz. With a 120% average annual turnover rate, figure an outfit like Swift with 18,000 power units must hire 21,600 drivers PER YEAR just to keep the fleet at an optimum level.

That's why OTR carriers hire so many felons, ex-cons, thieves, parolees, bad MVR's, and people that don't shower. They just can't find enough people to do the job from the available working population. And so they end up scraping the bottom of the barrell.
