Default New JOB!!! Yay 4 me! ++UPDATED++

I made it through orientation and my first truck with TransAm is a 2003 Kenworth with a CAT engine and auto shift tranny.

I took the Greyhound here on Saturday. Started orientation on Monday.
The hotel was a Super 8.

The terminal is nice and clean. The people here are friendly. My FM (dispatcher) is working on a load for me right now.

Overall I would have to say this company is far better than CR England.

You already know it's better than CR England?

A Super 8? Yikes. I LOVED the Holiday Inn in Olathe that they at least used to use exclusively. Wonder if it was full :? The gals in the Holiday Inn are spectacular.

Both terminals are nice (yes, I've been in both). Which term are you based out of?

    Pretty truck

have fun. Do you like pulling reefers? I couldn't do it. I tried and could never get any sleep. Those things are worse than opti idle
I would rather fail at something that will ultimately succeed rather than succeed at something that will ultimately fail.

Pulling reefers doesn't bother me. It actually lulls me to sleep!

I got my first load. From Garland Texas to Tulsa OK. 250 miles....eh, not great, but ya gotta start somewhere.

It is supposed to deliver tomorrow, but I am gonna see if I can drop it tonight.

I talked to some other drivers here. They confirmed I would run, run, run.

I'll post it as it happens.

My first run was 250 miles from Dallas to Tulsa.

I unloaded this morning and waited. And waited. For 2 hours I waited.
I called my FM. My suspicions were right... he wanted a good load for me.

I deadhead for 350 miles to Dodge City Kansas. Then the fun begins- meat going to Portland Maine. Overall the run is just shy of 2200 miles.

I'll have it there by Tuesday morning if weather permits.
    What weather? Glad you asked....

5 to 8 inches by morning just west of Wichita.

In all I am pretty pleased. I am on track to get almost 3000 miles this week.

Let's see... where did I leave off?
The weather didn't permit. There was snow in PA.

I did get an ontime delivery Wednesday morning.

I am on a new load now.

Here are the runs I have done so far:
4/12 Garland TX to 4/13 Tulsa OK 267 miles
4/13 Dodge City OK to 4/18 Auburn ME 2201 miles
4/13 Auburn ME to 4/20 Versailles KY 1095 miles

I am on a run from Indiana to Massachusetts 1186 miles due in Mass on 4/23 at 3am.

They seem to keep me rolling unlike England, and I haven's sat for more than an hour without a new load.
