Most of the larger truck fleets out there have not yet. Mainly the problem has been the down time it takes to install the apu's in a truck. On top of the initial downtime, if the apu breaks who is certified to fix it? Once again, more downtime.

I have been hearing lately that Willis APU is giving training on installation and maintanence (to keep warranty) on their apu's to fleets on qualified purchases--this should speed things up a bit. I'm sure Rigmaster and others will follow this model. There is a nice article on the subject http://www.truckinginfo.com/news/new...category_id=14.

On the subject of APU's....man my RigMaster is as loud as my Tractor if not louder. I've walked past other APU's which you could barely hear.
Another thing....it needs a hotter thermostat. I have froze my nads off this winter with it...and most of the time ended up idling the Tractor.

I just NEVER have the time to swing by our RigMaster dealer to get the hotter thermostat installed. First off...they didn't have the part in stock.
Just ANOTHER thing you gotta service or repair...as if I don't have enough responsibilities.

Packerland transport, Halvor Lines and some of Trans Am's trucks have them. Almost all of Schneider's new L/P are equiped with them.
Don't trust anybody. Especially that guy in the mirror.
