Default Rolled truck on I-90 at same curve by lake!

Another truck rolled on the I-90 between Mullan and Sherman Ave in Coeur d' Alene today!

A truck that had potatoes on it rolled as we saw the potatoes all over the freeway this evening around 5:15 and it was still not cleaned up when we came home around 8:00 p.m/. I could not see the name of the trucking company.

As I stated a while ago this seems to be a very bad curve right around the lake. I do not know if it is because drivers are distracted by the Lake or taking the curves to fast or a car interferes coming on the onramp but guys take it easy and use caution when coming through this way! I pass it daily and have seen to many trucks rolled!

    BE SAFE!!!

Actually...I believe GFIW & ROKK mean the corner just to the east of the center of that frame. I do believe that is Mullan Drive interchange in the middle section of that squiggle in the road..that is actually the top of a hill..and Sherman is the interchange after the squiggle....at the bottom of the hill. You can see the little lake to the north of the freeway just off of Sherman.

It is a deceptive grade and curve.

I saw 2 trucks rolled today (didn't witness them, but saw the aftermath). Both happened in a turn on the bottom of a hill. The weather is absolutely perfect (about 72f and partly cloudy skies) so that's not an issue. It's from drivers simply going too fast.

The 1st one is/was at the 21 milepost on I77 in West Virginia. If you know that road, you know where that spot is. Bottom of the long downgrade (5+ miles) with the long sweeping left hand turn (heading south) and the big valley below it (just before the rest area without bathrooms). The second is/was on I77 & I81 at the 75 milepost in Wytheville, VA.

I remember one that sheered a portion of the railing. That is sure a bad spot. I have not actually seen any occur but only drive by in the aftermath.

The lake is nice and the view is awesome from that spot.

You are correct. Speed is the most common factor for roll overs. It could be sunny aand the roads could be dry and drivers still roll them over on the S curves on I79 outside Pittsburgh.

Show one last tuesday, flat bed with a real nice Pete(it was nice) rolled at the last curve going south.
