    Default I can't say

I have no personal knowledge of their school. But, there is an endless list of reasons not to go to Swift. There is a company rating available on this sight that ranks companies based on Home time, miles, pay, equipt, respect for drivers, etc. Take a look at it and see if you can qualify for school with one that ranks 3.5 or higher, that means it is above average by drivers who had personal experiences there. I prefer a driver go to a respectable drive school and then on to a company so he can leave if there is a fall out with them and not leave indebted to them. Otherwise, you are making payments to someone who totally hosed you years after you left. Kinda like an ugly divorce.

My opinion is check out your options. Take a look at driving schools in your area and price them out. Swift driving academy is $3900.00 in my opinion that is pretty expensive. Don't let the recruiters tell you that their school is any better than anyone else. I went to a small driving school passed the test and ended up driving for swift for a little bit and it didn't cost me anywhere near $3900.00 Either way you still have to go out with a trainer for six weeks. The first year is really tough especially if you owe them all that money. If you quit before your year is up they will bill you. It wasn't so bad for me cause I didn't have no wife or kids and that huge bill. Being new you will be OTR and not regional don't let them fool you into thinking you will get a regional run right out of school. OTR you can be gone for anywhere up to 3weeks to sometimes months. The good thing about swift they will keep you moving. Never would complain about lack of miles. Their millage pay isn't so good but like I sad they keep you moving. The worst feeling is being obligated to a company for a year that you cant stand. You will find cheaper than 3900 if you look. Good luck.

You say don't go to Swift and to look here for company rated 3.5 or higher. Swifts is rated at 3.8 on this site. Maybe we took different math classes.

I found it by selecting a company from the company listing category. Then in the upper right corner, or above the comapny name/logo there is a link for their rating. Hope this helps.
