    Default Werner and Graduation

Going to be taking the Inspection,Yard and road test Wednesday. All goes well Werner promised me a spot at a Budweiser distribution center in my area! Should I trust them and what does a local driver for Werner make. Are they a good company, or should I look around for something else! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    patience is a virtue.

give folks who might know something a chance to respond.

This link: http://truckdriversparadise.wordpress.com/ will take you to my site with
    -Good / Bad Trainer
    -Carrier Information (Excel Only)
-Job Hots Search file (Excel and Web Page)
-as well as links to pictures for you to look at.

Expediting is different, but the same, but it's different. I'm so confused.

If your patience level has maxed out already, I would be very nervous about the industry you are getting into.

    Default Just Nervous

The bills have piled up the old lady is on my ass and I dont want to make the wrong decision. She doesnt want me to go over the road but expects local pay to be big. Tried to explain that it doesnt work that way but in one ear and out the other. Not lacking patience just my balls are to the wall so tp speak!

Well I'd say you picked the right screen name if you're going to work for Werner! I'm sorry, just could not resist!

Not much. But it's a start I guess.

    Are they a good company
No, but there's worse. Just ask Spencerian.

or should I look around for something else!
Well you gotta start somewhere. They may fit your needs as a starter company in terms of location, dedicated accts, hometime, etc. Just don't plan on making it a career because there's FAR, FAR better deals once you get some miles under your belt.

Well the way I figure, if u got bills stacking up you better make a quick decision...Some money is better than no money and no place to live...Werner and any other large company would be considered a decent trainer company...JUst like I always say "ROLL WIT THE PUNCHES"...

    Default Thank You ALL

    Buckeye and everyone,
I am from Michigan and a good friend of mine was a starting Linebacker for OSU in the early Nineties! With wife and kids a local run is right up my alley. Maybe when the kids get older something more regional, longhaul will be in the cards!

Is Werner training you for your CDL ? If yes and you want to run local then take the bud account, pay your dues and move on to a higher paying company.
If your going to CDL school on your own then I would research as many companies as possible and choose the one that best fits what you want.
If you want to run local and the bud run is your only option then I'd give it a shot.
I don't know about where you live, but where I'm from most factory's pay $7-$8 an hour. I'd be willing to bet the bud run will beat that.

    good luck
