More than likely you will have to take a refresher course.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.

I found out the hard way ... if you've been off the road more than 5yrs ... it's a must that you go back to school for either a refresher course or the full length of school ..... it appears that the company's have less power over who they hire - - the insurance company's say who they can and cannot hire .....
I did find out thou after alot of searching that if you could find a small company - with only a few trucks (these company's generally have less insurance problems) and work for them 3-6 months that you'd would be able to get on with most of the bigger company's after that time ....

good luck in your search .... if you want it bad enough ... you'll find someone to take you on which will give you the much needed time to get the miles back under you.

As I understood it with Maverick and TMC they will hire you if you live in Florida but do not run east of I-10 which disqualifies for whatever their weekly hometime program might be.

Not sure about Maverick but with TMC you have to take that trailer wherever you go including home so you have to be able to park it somewhere.

Personally.............I wouldnt want to do it.
Everything I need to know about driving a truck I learned from watching "DUEL"

"do not run east of I-10" There's nothing east of I-10 except Jacksonville. Don't understand the remark. Do you mean east of I-95 or I-75? BOL
