    Default dispatchers

    do most companies have weekend dispatchers, or do you always have to wait until Mon. morning?
    just curious :?

    Some do, Some don't. I'm normally scheduled to dliver on Sunday. Then I have to sit until Monday morning

    as far as I know most have dispatchers or at least someone you can contact in case of an emergancy on the road

    all the big one's do just slow at everything
    day dispatchers look after 50-75 trucks nite dispatchers look after 100-200 and weekend dispatchers try to keep up with 300-400

    Most have someone you can reach if you have a problem 24/7. However, some of the smaller carriers may not have a dispatcher on call 7 days a week. Some have a dispatcher on duty M-F and half a day on Saturday.
