    Default Things are clicking now

Had a great day at school today. Yesterday sucked. We switched instructors yesterday which put us in a different truck than we drove the previous week. I went from an older FLD to a newer Century. I was over clutching constantly. I couldn't up or down shift. I felt like I was the stupidest man on earth.

Today was a different day. It all clicked! I hit most all my shifts smoothly. Even my down shifts drastically improved. Cornering, I hit all my marks. The instructor said I could pass the road test today. I spent the last two hours angle and straight line backing. Was hitting my marks and really felt I might be able to do this!

    It was a great day!!!

When I was a student at our local Freight Relocation University, we had a different set of instructors every week; they all rotated duties.

There are four instructors. Each has three students assigned to them for the week. Each Monday we switch instructors. Our student numbers have been dropping for a number of reasons. We are also down to three instructors.

One of them got suspended or fired. He was a real hot head. He's an African American. He told an African American student that if he didn't improve he was going to beat his head to white meat. He also took his pointer stick and hit another student across the back of the hand when he reached for the shift linkage. The student thought his finger was broken! He told the guy if he did it again he was going to shove that stick up his a@@.

I guess there's drama no matter where you go.
