MADLUX, that is exactly where my radio is mounted.

It does not matter how high your antenna is, as long as it is higher than the roof your ok. Mine is about 2 inches above my roof and it does great, I'm talking with people about 10 miles away. Your signal is going out in all directions so it doesn't matter if your 10 feet above your roof or 2 inches, as long as the tip is above the roof people in front of you will hear you and you will hear them. If it's below, you will get interference talking to those in front and them talking back to you.

You also don't need 2 like a lot of big rigs have, one will do just fine unless you want to look like a Super Trucker.

    Default CB radios

I got one in my 2000 Dodge pick'emup with a whip antenna on rear bumper. Had one since CW McCall had that number 1 song a few years ago. You can't beat it for finding out why everybody is stopping! There is always someone yelling about the crash. Good to hear where the Smokeys are too. Ya'll hear that? This is Big Ben....in the rockin chair...

Yeah, your right, it's pig pen. He even asks the guy to back off a little as the smell was getting so bad. I got the song on this computer. Funny song and really started a CB craze back then...
