I am looking at doing new cars and auctions. I have no desire to do POV's, I think they are a bigger pain in the butt than they are worth. I am also looking at doing mostly shorter runs nothing over about 150 miles out but that would even have to pay right. I know with the company I am with now they pay around $65-$75/unit local. I really don't know what the going rate is for the longer pulls, but I do have a friend that is pulling a hotshot rig of his own and he is showing me what he is pulling in.
He has a Dodge 3500 w/ a wedge trailer and he is doing about $3200/week on the average. And all he is hauling is the 3500 and 2500 Dodge's for the majority of his loads, and he can only fit 2 at a time on his rig. So I figure if I can get 3 on this rig I can do around 3700/week on the average, maybe even alittle more.
