best truck?

joezgrrl...Our fleet consists of Mack,International,Freightliner and Volvo with 2 new Volvos. The guys LOVE the new Volvos. Volvos are BY FAR the most well liked even the 4 older ones. We're going to all Volvo now as the old tractors are replaced. They handle the best, get the best fuel mileage and ride the best.
We have no experience with Kenworth or Peterbilts,all our old cab over Petes are gone.

I can't say from experience because I have never driven one but I have heard from many drivers that the Volvo is the most driver friendly truck out there, nice ride, quiet, lots of room, easier to get around tight places,
and great for fuel economy

You also didn't state whether your current truck was new or used, if it was a used truck, you are always going to have some kind of mechanical problems with a used truck, no matter what make it is

also don't buy more truck than you need, what I mean is don't go out and spec a truck heavier than you need and don't buy the biggest engine you can get if you don't haul heavy, you don't need it, you will just have all that extra horse power not being used

I don't know what kind of experience you have, but I think you need to do a little more research before you buy another truck

there is no better than Pete or kenworth its over no other truck even comes close to the comfort or durability

If I were to get a Pete, it'd be a 387. I don't like long nose tractors so the 379 just won't do. Plus the 387 has a lot more cab room than any 379 I've ever seen/driven. The condo sleeper on my company 387 is pretty nice as well; the only thing missing is the work desk the freightshakers usually come with.

I guess I look at it differently, I am running a business, and running a business you try to keep your costs down, and that might mean buying a less expensive truck, or one that is more fuel efficient, and I can't run a successful business if I pay more money for a truck, just for looks

Well why does TMC buy alot of 379's???? I know alot of local companys with less then 10 trucks that have 379's w900 and 9900ix's why do they buy them. :?: :?: :?:

I didn't say that they don't buy them, of course they have more money to buy trucks than just one guy running a business on his own, One guy running a business on his own has to keep in mind other things than just buying a truck because it looks cool that's all I'm saying

some of these companies buy these trucks because their drivers like them
