Starting Orientation 12/27/06

Decided to go with May Trucking. Have a confirmed start date of the 27th. Graduate from CDL school on the 22nd from Roadmaster here in Tampa. Got some more good news today, turns out that Roadmaster was offering a $500 discount for classes starting in Dec but my recruiter failed to tell me. Went in and talked to the director and finance person and they agreed to credit me the $500.

Anyway, looking forward to getting started. Damn sure could use the $$$.... Been slow as hell in the mortgage business this last year.

Appreciate this website and the active community here. I plan on keeping a log of my travels, runs, loads, etc during training. Will update when I can. Gotta finish school first though.

Hey BOL Dok, guess you decided to go the OTR route, but i think you'll be happy with May, from what i know the pay is pretty decent, and the equipment is top notch, but hey if you ever do decide to go local, you shouldn't have a problem finding a good company there in tampa. I'm from up in Brooksville, and haul sod out of the south, i know there's a lot of companies there in tampa hauling sod, but anyway BOL with May, and stay safe out there.
