Default DO NOT TAILGATE! (Disturbing photo warning!)

I posted this here so that any newly qualified drivers would instantly look.
These are the consequences of being too close and eventually piling into the truck in front.
Not a pretty sight. Imgine being in that cab!

Bad as that looks, it's probably a head-on collision, not a tailgating accident. And, no, I wouldn't want to have been anywhere near that...

He was far too close and the traffic in front of him stopped suddenly.
because he was so close he could,nt stop.
I would post the site up on here but there are also autopsy photographs on there and some would find it very distressing.

I would believe that's a tailgater after seeing the one here locally about 2 years ago. Guy hit so hard, the front of his trailer was touching the back of the trailer in front of him. The entire cab was inside the other trailer. Traffic came to a screeching stop, he wasn't paying full attention and was too close to begin with and never had a chance to hit the brakes. Shoved the truck he hit into another one in front of him.

Yeah, that's definitely a tailgater. I saw one almost identical to that in the late eighties in NYC. The cabover on the straight truck was crushed into the box. The short time I drove a cabover, I never did get used to the fact that you are the hood ornament of the truck! Wintertime on a two lane scared the hell out of me.
