Am I to new to say that I feel stupider than I was when I started reading the original post?

I mean if it worked for him and he's still keepin the rubber side down then I guess congrats. Don't get me wrong... I want to be an O/O in a few years once I have the experience and some money saved up for a nice used rig. I'd rather learn how to drive in someone else's rig then one of my own.

Keep the rubber side down on the hard stuff.

I used to live in Atlanta. I don't see how anyone could live there and go very long without finding some sort of employment. I think your posting can do one thing for newbies. It can show them what NOT to do if they want to get into this business and be successful. I don't see how anyone can drive a truck and be afraid of taking a trailer into a truck stop.

EDITED: That quote came from "Heavy Chase". BTW, an excellent posting, H.C.!!
Them %#* quotes. I forgot to put them in for Heavy Chase.

    Slap me. but be easy.

Heavy Chase did in deed make a fine post. I hope the newbees read it and the other fine post in respect to this subject.

He could have gotten training like the guy at May Trucking and have 2 crashes right away. So far Henboy is in the lead.

Default anonymous emil in my inbox. What a joy....a newbie like me.

I enjoy reading emails like this from poeple like myself because we can learn from each other.

    "Hi,

;;; There are many people out there like us but very few
;;; like myself who had the guts to come out.

Yup, got that right. They love to rip people like yourself apart for posting that information but believe
me there are tons of people who want to do exactly what you are doing. I think your doing the
right thing going out and practicing. You are also learning from your mistakes and that is very
valuable knowledge. You can read about stuff but surviving a close call will be burned into your
mind forever. Your racking up experience.

;;; Could you please give me heads up on getting this authority

Getting your authority is a piece of cake. Your real problem will be getting liability and cargo
insurance. If you can get that, your all set. My liability cost me $4,200 and my cargo is $1,100.

I don't really deal with any certain brokers but use the internettruckstop and only deal with
brokers who are approved by DS factoring company.

Get ready.....They will be on you non stop on the forum now. Why, I don't know.

    Good luck".

Well you falsified information to get your job instead of doing it the right way. You bought a piece of ***** truck that is unfit for the road, and now you try to convince others to ignore all of the experience of the people who know something about the business.

No thanks, I will listen to the people who have done things the right way and who know a thing or two about the industry.

I'm not even considered a "newbie' yet, i'm still in the research mode. But what your post shows me is what NOT to do to get into trucking. If that is the route YOU want to take, so be it. Not me brother. I will read and take the sound advice of the experianced and professional drivers here, and start in this business, ethically and safely. But if you want to take the risk and try to do it on your own, I wish you all the luck, and pray that you don't kill yourself or someone else in the process.

i read henboys life long saga over at that other site, damm what long azz read it was yes it was late and i was also very bored, the only real summery i can up with is here ya got a guy that lied and cheated his way into the truckin industry, and in return he has no exp. what so ever driving a 80,000 bomb down the big road with out any real formal training.

The way i see it after readin the saga you would not want this guy on the road with your [/b]Family[/b] and Loved one's i sure as hell don't Henboy is one big Road Hazard just waiting for a accident to happen no i'm not wishing him any bad luck if you do not believe this go over there and read his life's saga and if you are bored please read this.so you don't think i'm flaming the guy just to have something to type.
go with the flow..........or just don't go nuff said

hummm.. Like to say right off I don't have a class A only a B, and would never take the track you are. But I have owned and ran a few business. I would never start one with out being a complete expert in that field, to do so is a recipe for finical disaster. To start a business with so much safety liability is not only risking finical disaster but personal freedom, yours and those on the road with you. If this is true I do not applaud you, I am appalled  . I only hope than when you screw up and you will only you are hurt....Teal

I can relate to the first part of this post. I am currently working in the 2nd or 3rd largest bank in the world doing IT, money's great, but they treat empoyees like crap. Been doing this for 10+ years but as I'm relocating to NC soon am looking to truck for a living. The rest I can't relate to because I have no experience.
