With all the recent talk of a gap in employment, I have a question.
If I quit my current job (which I have had for 3 3/4 years) to go to CDL school for 7 weeks, will that count against me?

It shouldn't. Just make sure the school you choose is approved by the company or companies you are considering working for or you may waste your money.Originally Posted by downsouthdriver

Attending school counts as being employed.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.
It is. It's HCC down here in Houston. I wouldn't think 7 weeks off for school would matter but I figure it's better to ask.
Thanks for the response.
7 weeks probably wouldn't matter that much even if you weren't in school.
As long as it is under 90 days it shouldn't be a problem.
