    Default Getting Started

Questions? I have been living in Germany for the last 20 years and have now decided to go home...California. I have, what they call over here a Class 2 license. This means that I can drive 7.5 -40 tons. I have a Tank endorsement, and Haz-Mat. Been delivering Gasoline, Diesel, Heating Oil for the last 12 years. My question is....are these things, license and endorsments..honored in the US...or do I have to test anew for everything? And....if anyone knows of a good company needing a driver...around Reedley CA...by Fresno...would be happy to hear about it.
    Thanks... :?:

This is something you may want to address to some of the recruiters on this forum. Sheepdancer, Twilight Flyer, Scoe and Bluebettle might better answer your questions. You may also want to contact the DMV in California, since that is where you will live. I think some of the problems come in with differences in laws governing otr driving in the two countries. It is my understanding that you will need to basically start all over again. This had come up before from some wishing to come over from Europe and drive in the U.S. If I remember correctly, they were advised to attend a CDL in the U.S. You may try doing a search on the forum. Something may pop up. Good luck.

    Default Cali Driving Jobs

If you want to check for driving job in the Fresno area, check www.caljobs.ca.gov. Doubt Cali will honor your German license, probably have to retest from the get-go. BOL
