    Default Company training needs work

I'm not saying any company names all though I should. I was at a cooler in Salinas,CA and this guy could not back in the dock for nothing. I watched for about 20 mins and they switched drivers. He got so frustrated he let his daughter try(also his co-driver). She didn't do any better. I wasn't sure if they would get mad at me for asking if they needed my help. That's why I waited so long. Any way I tried to coach him and her into the dock. They still couldn't get it. Not doing what I told them fast enough. They finally ask me to do it. Well I had to go in so I did. I should not have but I was running short on time. After I got out I ended up showing them how to scale and taught them how to move their tandems and getting their weight right. I really hope they got better. I'm not downing them but they seriously need more training. Both on their first trip without a trainer. They both said their trainers didn't show them anything.
Please if you feel your not ready TELL your company to give you more training or a different trainer if the one you have isn't doing his or her job.
Has everyone forgotten how to be COURTEOUS.
    If you've forgot, it means.

Last time I backed a truck in for another driver was about 8 wks ago at a Pilot off I-81 in VA I think ex 209 . Other than the retarded set up of only having one way in and out of the parking lot which makes it clog up quick if you can't reverse it's fairly roomy unlike most pilots . what I don't get is why no drivers ever take it upon themselves to practice backing (not at a busy T/S ) ,so they actually get good at it you would think if you take 20 minutes to back up you would recognize the need to practice a few times .

Or from what I've seen better than half the OTR drivers currently behind the wheel regardless of the comany ,and this includes O/O . as it seems backing a truck really is rocket science for many drivers

i would assume that since he was at a cooler, most likely it was a reefer outfit or a reefer division of some company. how about:
    Schaffer?
    Central Ref?
    SRT?
    LCT?
