    Default Another Opti-idle question

Hey all, sorry to post another thread about this but i couldn't find out what i needed to know in the others. . .

First off, I must get rid of the Optimized Idle in my Volvo, it's a company truck and its driving me insane, I have tried all the tricks in the forums, like raising the throttle and the hood, and setting your pto and all of that... the only thing that works for me so far is at night I will open up my fuse box and remove my R6 relay which shuts down the trucks computer... I have no lights or controls but the truck will idle all night. however, that is a pain in the butt to do everynight and i fear it might have some negative effects on the trucks computer, and if i needed to move the truck quickly for some reason i wouldn't be able to do so. . .

So any suggestions? by the way the main reason i want to do this is because it shuts my TV and Game down, not because it wakes me up or anything. Thanks for the help!

    Sincerly,

    Thundernuts

You get caught messing around with company equipment and trying to modify it and you'll get fired easily. Most likely have something put on your DAC as well and then you'll never work for a decent company agian.
Just get used to it like thousands of other drivers have.

You have time to play video games?
I never play my PSP, oh well.

    Default me too!

Same thing I thought. You have time to play games and watch TV?
Next thing you will be installing a PVC pipe on your mirror to mount your sattellite dish

I used to mave a TV, VCR, DVD player in my truck. Never had time to turn it on. And if I did I was sleeping within 5 minutes.

I got around mine in an 98 Freightliner by setting the cruise control and bumping the accel button a couple of times to raise the idle. The computer was confused into think we were on cruise control going down the road I guess....It worked though.
