Never drove this model, but every int I have ever been in seemed to be cramped. Maybe just me.

We run the 9200i. I have to admit,for an International,they are nice trucks. Chrome guages,wood grain dash. We have 2 sleeper trucks,and they actually have room. They are big on the inside,but no hood. :P Our day cabs have just enough room to sit,and be comfortable,but I wouldnt want to run one OTR. They ride pretty smooth,not too bad.

I own a 9400 Eagle and I really like it. The main difference between the 9200 and 9400 is the short hood on the 9200. Depending on how it is laid out, there is usually a lot of room in the sleeper area. I like the openness. Mine rides pretty good. It is more comfortable than my KW. Most drivers I speak with who drive Internationals seem to like them.

It also depends on if you have the pro sleeper or the standard mid-roof. The mid-roof in my 9200 is tolerable as a solo driver, but that's about it. The top bunk (folded) is shoulder height to me when sitting on the bunk. I had my fiance out with me last month and I was assigned the back wall in the bunk. When I woke up and sat up, I hit the top bunk every time. There's not as much storage area either.

I ran a '95 9400 with the pro sleeper. That was a much better sleeper setup. Tons of room, storage everywhere, etc. I even left the top bunk folded down so I could store stuff on it (no mattress).

This mid-roof, if I fold down the sleeper, I have to sit hunched over in half.

I do have the Pro Sleeper on my 9400. However, it is still considered a mid roof. I am not sure how it would do with a double bunk. I do have a lot of storage.

Wal-Mart's fleet runs primarily 9200i's with the mid-roof 51" sleeper. They have space for a TV and quite a bit of storage space considering they're a "small sleeper".

My company uses primarily freightliners and mack trucks. They bought one of this model international as a test. It now has around 20,000 miles on it and is on it's 2nd engine, 2nd computer, and the front driver side tire is wearing uneven badly on the outside edge. Maybe we just got a lemon? It has a cummins engine and eaton automatic trans. Bu I like the guage layout, interior room is great. It has huge fuel tanks. It rides really nice also.

International trucks have several classes of sleepers.

Flat top= Self expanatory
Midroof=Slightly taller than a flat top, no upper windows,
High rise= A little over 6 feet of head room. Has upper windows
Skyrise= Full condo version.

The pro sleeper is a term used to describe the trim level of the sleeper, not the size.

I drive a 05 9200i and I love it. I have the hi rise 72 inch bunk. Previous to this I drove a Freightliner Columbia. The differences are immeasureable. It feels solid, you have better options for steering tilt and telescoping, gauges are well laid out and I feel them to be more visible. It's a bit noisier in the cab than the Freightliner, but for my money (lol not that I paid for it) I would take the International over the Freightliner any day. Granted the Freightliner I had was pretty plain Jane, and only had the mercedes with the exhaust jakes and that didn't help to win me over. Now for leg room, I'm short..lol so I am not sure how that would rate. In the automatic, there is a space under the console where you can put your feet, if you need to stretch out a little. I say a little there really isn't that much space there. I do believe from comments one of the guys made, that there is more leg room in the International than the Freightliner...if I remember rightly.

I drive a International 9900 day cab and love the truck. I like the way the gauges are laid out and for me it has plenty of room, the only truck that I have driven and like better is the Volvo VHD that the company has been renting for the last 3 weeks.
