    Default Requested Days Off

I am the Best Man in my friends Wedding on January 5th 2007 in Vancouver BC. Unfortunately I will most likely be toward the end of Swift OTR training. I am going to school on Nov. 6th 2006. I need to be in Vancouver BC on this date even if its only for a couple hours. How should I go about asking for this day off, or should I even attempt to ask off at all? I have known my buddy for 21 years (I'm 23) so this is something I will not miss. Please help me.

    Default Delay

I'd delay starting training until after the first of the year. I don't think the odds of getting off to go cross country for a wedding are great. Have you heard of the 7 P's? Used a lot in the trucking industry. BOL

Yeah I would wait. If you are going to there school also then maybe get the schooling over and get your mentor after that date. I know they will let you have some hometime after school to get some stuff straight, might want to ask. But I doubt you have a chance if you are out with your mentor at that time.
