    Default Central Ref.

Whats going on a little recap of the first week at central refeefer in Irving.

    Day 1--
Lots of paper work DOT physical and Drug testing which took most of the day. after all that we were told to study section 14 of the Texas CDL Handbook,

    DAY 2
we did a pre test everyone passed so we went down to the DMV and got our permits. we then went over Air Brakes Pre trip and Combos general rules. After lunch we had a pre test with a diagram of the suspension of course more homework to read coresponding chapters to what we went over

    Day 3 --
Another test going over home work, went out to the yard and did a hands on pre trip inspection . Wasnt very hard just allot of things done over and over on the various Axels.
after lunch we had another test . similar to the first one just dif questions.

Day 4 we went to the DMV first thing and took our actual written portions of the exam i aced them all , a few had problems and will go back 2 morrow, went over backing and controll of the rig had to execute turns and things of that nature

    Day5 --
Straight out to the yard to do some baacking those who didnt pass their test went back to the DMV to re-take them . Straight backing was easy now the parrelel backing is as hard as it is to spell it lol. i got it down after the third go around .

    Day 6 --
More backing more backing more backing, did a streeet course and was taught how to double clutch and shift. after lunch a little road work got all the way up to 9th gear and started the down shift that took alittle while to get the clutch shift bump rpms clutch shift rythm down i got it after the second time around the track i do have a tendency to float gears at tiems dont know how i do it but i do lol. Instructors paired me with someone else in the class todrive with since we are both at the same level, allot of people are having problems with shifting. most of them are the same ones that didnt pass some of their written ones.

Day 7 i am at home i will update again either 2morrow or on wed.

    over and out crazy willie
