Default Split Pay for team drivers

Can anyone explain to me, how do you figure out the pay for each driver?
Do they take the rate for the experienced driver (.37 cpm) and the rate of the inexperienced driver (.20 cpm) and multiply it by the number of miles the truck was driven? Or is it the just take the maximum amount of the experienced driver (say .37 cpm) and that amount is split between both drivers, times the total number of miles driven?
May God Bless you and keep you. May the Peace of God be with you.

For a team normally the rate is around say 44 cpm and then that is spilt between the 2 drivers. I know when I was driving team in 98 with my father at Florilli we got 32 CPM all miles loaded or empty and ran on about 7500 a week easy. Best month we had was Jan of 98 36K helped truck was set up with a new not cut back computer and a dedicated Madison WI to Fullerton CA back to Aurora IL southern route on that back to MAdison to start over as fast as we could go.

Most companies pay a set amount for all miles driven regardless of who drives.

We're getting .50 per mile right now and last week we got 5500 miles total. This is divided by two---so $1375 per driver even though my partner may have driven more miles this week. We also get $42 stop pay, so a little over $1400 for the week.

I don't feel team drivers nessesarily get more money per week, but they do get more consistent long runs which could lead to more money per week than a solo driver.

Teaming usually pays a certain amount per mile to the "team", however there are still some companies out there that pay based on the senior drivers experience so watch for them. Teaming doesn't always pay more than solo, however in today's world most companies put teams at the head of the line for loads so you don't sit when the solos do.
If you think you can or you think you can't, either way you are right!

Doesn't matter where you have been, it's where you are going in life that counts!

Team operations pay in one of two ways.

They either split the miles and pay each driver thier base rate

or they split the pay and each driver makes the same.
Finding the right trucking company is like finding the right person to marry. I really comes down to finding one whose BS you can put up with and who can put up wih yours.
