You all just talked me into it. Going out tomorrow and picking up Sirius while I'm home. I'm really tired of punching buttons every few minutes when driving across the western states.

Did pick up some really cool Navajo stations last week in Arizona, but I had no idea what they were talking about. I can see why they did so good as code talkers in WWII.

starman if you own the truck or your confident in you being in it for a while also get the fm modulator cable it cuts off the fm signal from your reg fm antenna when your siruis is turned on. thus allowing in uninterupted siruis signal , the net result of this is u dont have to change the transmitt frequency on your sirius radio. but hey i only have 3 sirius radios.

I need to buy one of these units, which would you guys suggest? Is the roady, good enough? I need a cd player as well, so maybe I should look for a more all in one unit. What did you guys buy?

The Roady is plenty good enough IMO, and quite a bargain. Though, if you are gonna replace your stereo with a new one, I've noticed that the XM ready units are competitively priced with the non XM units, so that might be a better bargain yet.

I like what I've heard about satellite radio on here. Sounds like a very good option. Do many trucks have CD Players in them, or do you usually have to have your own to plug into your power unit? I have a lot of CD's, so I was just wondering. Thanks.

ken - will only be in thia truck alittle longer ( I hope). We're getting in a bunch of new Macks and Internationals so just maybe this new guy will get a new truck in a few months. Will keep the cable in mind though so I can update my system as soon as I change trucks. Is it hard to set up - maybe I should go ahead now and do it. Any idea of approximate cost?

I picked up sirius today for about $50 total. getting it set up tomorrow and activated so it will be ready when I go back out on Saturday

    Thanks for the info

I just picked up the "Sirius One" sattelite reciever at the Stamart t/s in Fargo on my way through for $19.99, with tax it came to less than 22 bucks. Any satelite radio is a good investment for the road, I picked Sirius for NASCAR next year, Howard Stern, BTLS, and the football.
