Hauling flatbed seems to pay better starting out. The training period is longer but it should pay off better in the long run. Stevens is one of the bottomfeeder carriers like c.r. england or werner. I live close to their terminal in Dallas. I would STAY AWAY from them. Marten transport out of Wi., Roehl,or Crete seem to be the better outfits to start out with.BOL

janitorj1, take a look at TMC. A couple of their recruiters came to my class and they seem to have a pretty good thing going. You can either go nationwide or choose the route you'd like - according to them. Good luck!

Don't work for any carrier because according to this website, they're all bad in one way or another.
You can take the driver out of the truck but you cant take the truck out of the driver.
