I Got Made!

Been with Gordon for 10 months and I finally got made. Last month I got a brand new tractor. This last week I was finally given a dedicated run that gets me home every nite! I think I will be here awhile ;-)

good job man! I just got on the christmas time dedicated fleet out of oregon down to sac/bay area 3 times a week. Home every other day and I got a newer 28 series tractor... So much better than the pos 2469 I had... Did you get on that new pepsi fleet?

awesome job, dedicated run. I also work for gordon, got my new truck only after 5 months. with the old pos the tranny was going on it. so they gave me a new truck. I only wish that i had a cummins engine rather than a detroit engine. it is a dog when it comes to climbing hills. good luck with the dedicated run

gordon didnt seem bad when i worked for them for the whole 4 weeks in tranning. i was driving with a trainner 11 western untill i turned around one night and saw him in his underware looking at a hustler and doing you know what. needless to say i got off the next truck stop and said bye to gordon and him. to bad cause i wanted to stay there i had a feeling it was a good company. i guess reading your post it is.

you quit because of that? I guessing there must be more to the story. I feel ya on seeing him doing what everyone does out here, but to quit?

I think these guys have been watching "The Soprano's" a little to much..................actually, congratulations on your getting MADE at Gordon................

That is one company I have rarely, if ever heard anything negative about.....................was actually starting to think it was a "CULT", drivers seemed so happy there.

Maybe other trucking companies should look at "Gordon's" business model...........seems to be doing something right when it comes to driver retention...................good luck............Josh

If you would have asked me three weeks ago I would have chose death, but things are looking up now that the extreme pain has subsided.

Well Bill...............unfortunately I'm not quite what would be described as a "Computer Genius"........out of the blue, I say to myself, self, "why don't you clean out your computer." :sad: :sad: I ended uo destroying my hard-drive, between runing OTR and working, I haven't been on the computer as much as normal.....been using my wife's (a POS, BTW), but couldm't get on this and other sites.......could get on TN though..

Any way, I'm leaving tomorrow and will be back next week.

Kona-They had me doing s.c. johnson runs to walmart for a little while, but I dont think I am dedicated. They get me home every night with usually about 530 miles a day, but I usually pull a GSC load to TRGET oNTARIO, OR AN SC JOHNSON LOAD TO WOODLAND.
