Default Truckdriving the most dangerous job?

I've heard some people say that truckdriving is the most dangerous job you could have. Even more dangerous than being a cop, fire-fighter, rescue-worker, etc.? I find this kind of hard to believe myself. (I know driving this big trucks can be dangerous, but not sure I'd say it was the MOST dangerous) What do you think?

While spending any amount of time on the road is dangerous - I would take it any day over Berring sea during crab season, Pac NW cutting timber or cop in Bagdad.

It's not number One most dangerous, but it is on top 10 list. From the Msn research awhile back they had that as one of the topics. Yes Loggers, Fishermen, Coal Miners, Truck drivers.

I took this to mean there are cops in Baghdad.

Police find 50 corpses in Baghdad

Sectarian violence is claiming dozens of victims in Baghdad daily
Police in Baghdad have recovered at least 49 bodies from the streets of the capital in the past 24 hours, an interior ministry official has said.
    Police meaning cop. IME

they've got IP(Iraqi police) so I guess they're considered cops but I considered them Military police sort of and they've got ICDC which is the equivalent of our National Guard.

I think the people making the list fail to distinguish between the aviation equivalent of "four-wheelers" and professionals.

Errors by professional pilots are fairly rare. Its quite common for armatures to kill themselves and their passengers in small aircraft, think JFK Jr and Jon Denver.

The list also completely ignors the military. I belive Lyods of London once classified the flight deck of a carrier as the most dangerous workplace in the world.

People have walked away from crashing a truck how many commercial airline pilots walk away from a plane crash? I'd be a nervous wreck all day thinking one small error and I could kill myself and many other people... I know I know a truck driver could kill himself/herself and other people but there is more opportunity for ***** to hit the fan being a pilot.
