Truckdriving in Iraq

I'm Not going to post the Article about me on here.I've sent it to a few select friends and that's the way it's going to be.
The Editor was after me for over a Year to do it and I refused and then the Media went overboard with their stories on Iraq which was feeding their watchers and Readers BS and that's when I Stepped in to Defend our Troops-KBR and countries who also believed in the Cause.

If you want to see what it is like driving a truck in Iraq as a civilian, ABC had a segment on the morning news about a some drivers who were ambushed. They had video from what appears to be a helmet camera on one of the drivers. He witnessed two of his fellow drivers being drug from an over turned truck and murdered. He was lucky to be alive. Apparently these drivers were abandoned by their military escorts to fend for themselves. An investigation is in process. The segment can be a real eye opener for those who are giving consideration to making the "big bucks."

Yes, I saw that this morning as well. Sad how those soldiers just left them to die. Should serve as a lesson.

I watched the same report last night on the news, and was in awe that American soldiers could leave other Americans in harms way. This is one of the many examples as to why this war in Iraq will not end in victory for the Americans. You can not take a country that has lived thousands of years with an eye for an eye mentality and turn it into an American demoracy, it wont happen, we have just managed to create more hatered for our Country and you can rest assured Al-qaeda will make a propaganda video using this news report to show others that the Americans will run when the going gets tough.
The sad truth of all this is that every day more Americans are dying for the wrong reasons....

An Old Guy's Opinion


If I could, I'd enlist today and help my country track down those
responsible for killing thousands of innocent people in New York
City and Washington, D.C. But, I'm over 50 now and the Armed
Forces say I'm too old to track down terrorists. You can't be
older than 35 to join the military. :sad:

They've got the whole thing ass-backwards. Instead of sending 18-
year-olds off to fight, they ought to take us old guys. You
shouldn't be able to join until you're at least 35. For starters:
Researchers say 18-year-olds think about sex every 10 seconds. Old
guys only think about sex a couple of times a day, leaving us more
that 28,000 additional seconds per day to concentrate on the enemy.

Young guys haven't lived long enough to be cranky, and a cranky
soldier is a dangerous soldier. If we can't kill the enemy we'll
complain them into submission. "My back hurts!" "I'm hungry!"
" Where's the remote control?" :x

An 18-year-old hasn't had a legal beer yet and you shouldn't go to
war until you're at least old enough to legally drink.
An average old guy, on the other hand, has consumed
126,000 gallons of beer
by the time he's 35 and a jaunt through the desert heat with a
backpack and M-60 would do wonders for the old beer belly.

An 18-year-old doesn't like to get up before 10 a.m. Old guys get
up early (to pee). If old guys are captured we couldn't spill the
beans because we'd probably forget where we put them. In fact,
name, rank, and serial number would be a real brainteaser.

Boot camp would actually be easier for old guys. We're used to
getting screamed and yelled at and we actually like soft food.
We've also developed a deep appreciation for guns and rifles. We
like them almost better than naps.

They could lighten up on the obstacle course, however.
I've been in combat and didn?t' see a single 20-foot wall with rope
hanging over the side, nor did I ever do any pushups after
training. I can hear the Drill Sergeant now, "Get down and give
me...er ... one."

And the running part is kind of a waste of energy. I've never seen
anyone outrun a bullet. An 18-year-old has the whole world ahead
of him.

He's still learning to shave, to actually carry on a conversation,
to wear pants without the top of the butt crack showing and the
boxer shorts sticking out.

To learn that a pierced tongue catches food particles. And that a
200-watt speaker in the back seat of a Honda Accord can rupture an
eardrum. All great reasons to keep our sons at home and to learn a
little more about life before sending them off to a possible death.

Let us old guys track down those dirty, rotten cowards who
attacked our hearts on September 11. The last thing the enemy
would want to see right now is a couple of million old farts with

LOLOLOL! Funny, but very true!!. They shouldn't at least FORCE 18 yr. olds to join (like in the draft or something), but if they want to go over there, let them.

You're right about the age limit being a dumb idea. If you'r in good physical condition, you should be allowed to join, even if you're 80 yrs old.

I don't drink, and don't plan on ever drinking. And I also don't sag so everyone can see my crack. :? But I think about sex and making out every two seconds, not ten. I think so I know how to shave, but I still don't know how to carry on a conversation that well (might be why I'm still single), and I don't have my tongue pierced and I don't play my music so loud that everyone from blocks around doesn't have to buy the CD because they can hear it just fine from listening to my radio.

Pushups are a waste of time, but I can see why they make you run; you want to be in good shape so you don't get out of breath while running for cover or something like that. I MIGHT can see why you climb a wall in boot camp in case they had you taking over a building and you had to climb on the roof.

Also, I heard on the radio at one time that they had considered raising the age limit from 35 to 39. (Think so it was the Army) Don't know if they decided to drop the idea or not...

Believe it or not, a MILPER message came through a couple months ago, raising the enlistment age to 42! You have to enlist early enough that you will enter basic training before your 42nd birthday.

If you don't believe me, call your local recruiter!
