Folks, often times its not the landlord or property owner being unkind.... It often times has to do with ZONING RULES. When I lived in Volusia County, FL...there was a $100.00 per day fine for having a truck parked ANYWHERE that it was not permitted by the zoning rules. The county I live in now is completely asinine about it. I managed to get permission from a local trucking company...and trust me, alittle "grovelling" can go a long way.
I used to park in an RV storage facility that was "secure" until Hurricane Charley destroyed the place....now the trucking company is it. No fence, just a dirt lot... :x but its better than nothing, and legal.![]()
Oh, one other thing....if you run afoul of zoning rules, they can and will tow the truck, impound it, and you will be on the hook literally for paying the fines, the wrecker, and impound fees...... Don't make the mistake of taking this issue lightly.
