Most crockpot chicken recipes use some sort of canned cream soup. Not this lemon chicken recipe. It's got all natural ingredients and you control the sodium.Put first eight ingredients in slow cooker. Stir. Place chicken breasts on top. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook on low 5-6 hours.
- 1 cup long grain converted white rice
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 8 cloves garlic, peeled and smashed
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 dash Tabasco sauce
- 6 bone-in chicken breasts, with skin removed
- salt and pepper to taste
Serves 6.
Per serving: 311 calories, 6 g fat (1 g saturated fat), 68 g cholesterol, 29 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 30 g protein, 1% Vitamin A, 37% Vitamin C, 4% calcium, 14% iron
