Default 24,000 tickets in 4 months

A friend of mine told me that he read in one of the trucking magazines that Connecticut wrote 24,000 tickets to truckers in 4 months. Talk about revenue generation!!!!

I'm sure it was more than one trooper. And, more than one driver. But, it doesn't surprise me. I've run across 84 and up 91. I've seen how the guys run. How much you want to bet... The vast majority of them were issued to local drivers. Yes, I've seen names like North American and others flying by me. But, generally, it's the locals doing their best to outrun the speeding 4-wheelers.

and grass will grow in the streets of the cities.

Destroy the economy of the blue-collar worker...
and grass will grow in the executive offices.

    The bill has come due.

Connecticut has never had their scales open very much. I came through from Maine a couple of months ago and they had the east bound scale on I-84 near Danville open. Trucks were really backed up and they had one that apparently tried to run the scale. That particular scale is a rest area that is a part time scale. I don't recall ever seeing that many trucks at that scale. Even with all the trucks, I think they would have needed to been very busy on the interstates. In any case, they sure are determined to set a record generating revenue.

I got pulled in at the Union Scale twice last year. Those were my only inspections in the last 3 years. lol. They suck. and it's all because a couple years ago a truck killed the governors daughter in a major accident. ever since then they are coming down on trucks like there is no tomorrow... got BS tickets out of the inspections that I fought in court and got dismissed... even the judge laughed at the inspecting officer...
IF you're not tired enough after driving all day, check this online Trucking Simulator out. it's fun...
