I recently asked my neighbors’ 9 year-old daughter what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President someday. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, “If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?” She replied, “I’d give food and houses to all the homeless people.” Her parents beamed with pride. “Wow...... what a worthy goal.” I told her, “But you don’t have to wait until you’re President to do that! You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and trim my hedges, and I’ll pay you $50. Then I’ll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house.” She thought that over for a few seconds, looked me straight in the eye and asked, “Why doesn’t the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?” I said, “Welcome to the Republican Party.” Her parents still aren’t speaking to me.

But you left out the punchline to your "joke". The girl grew up Republican and one fine day she inherited a business from her rich uncle. She outsourced everything and was able to fire 95% of her workforce because all those jobs were now in China and India. Next she donated large sums of money to the Republican party asking only one thing in return - lower taxes for the rich.

Here's the punchline: She also donated money to Republican think tanks where the term "job creator" was coined.

Some of the biggest contributors to the democratic party are major corporations who have moved thousands of jobs overseas. One example is GE. They are a major contributor and supporter of very left wing candidates and causes. I have met their former CEO. You don't get much farther left than him. One of their latest moves was to close down light bulb manufacturing here and move operations to China. We will be paying much more for light bulbs and have lost jobs as well. GE owns NBC and a number of other companies. They also have billions sitting in banks outside this country. One other thing. GE is one of the largest private label credit card issuers in the nation. JC Penny, Lowe's and other credit cards are issued by GE Credit. With all their talk about socialism they are one of the largest products of capitalism in the world.

I read an article, last week, that claimed the jobs would be coming back from China because the "climate" there is becoming less profitable. People are starting to get paid better, and it seems China has raised some of it's taxes. Transportation costs have gone up, and their bottom lines have been going down. If true, I'm wondering how soon the Chinese will be complaining that jobs are getting scarce. And, I expect the Chinese government to blame "the West".

Wouldn't it be weird to see an angry Chinese man on tv complaining that his job was sent overseas to some American who's willing to work for next to nothing.
