Default Still think Jesus is dead?

Lord Jesus Christ hit by car

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - The victim might have forgiven the woman who ran him down in a Massachusetts crosswalk, but police haven't.Police say a Pittsfield woman has been cited for running down a man named Lord Jesus Christ as he crossed a street in Northampton on Tuesday.
The 50-year-old man is from Belchertown. Officers checked his ID and discovered that, indeed, his legal name is Lord Jesus Christ. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor facial injuries and later released, according to the local paper, The Republican.
Christ was in a marked crosswalk at the time of the accident, Capt. Scott Savino told the paper.
Police say 20-year-old Brittany Cantarella was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

    How strange.
I've heard of Mexicans that are named, Jesus (hay soose), but I've never heard of anyone with the full name of Jesus.

It also does not say if he was given that name at birth or if he legally changed his name at some point in his life.
Not likely to find another person with THAT name.

If I had my guess, I'd say he changed it at some point.
Finding someone else with the same name would be like finding a needle in a hay stack.

Wait a minute. Do you two mean to say that you think the REAL "Jesus" was BORN with the name Lord Jesus Christ, and that it would be nearly impossible to find another "person" with that exact same name?

    1) I'm almost positive the guy changed his name somewhere along the way. I've NEVER heard of CHRIST as a family name.

    2) Jesus "of Nazareth" probably had some kind of last name, consistent with the custom of the time and locale. But, most likely it was "related" to the last name of his father Joseph (whatever THAT was.)

Jesus grew up as a carpenter because his FATHER was a carpenter. He would have had the same type of name as anyone of that "tribe" or people.

Lord Jesus Christ was not the "full name" of Jesus Christ.

Y'all are yankin' my chain, huh?
