Default The DEA Officer, and the old rancher.

A DEA officer stops at a ranch in Texas, and talks with an old rancher. He tells the rancher, 'I need to inspect your ranch for illegal grown drugs.'

The old rancher says, 'Okay, but don't go in that field over there.' The DEA officer verbally explodes saying, 'Mister, I have the authority of the Federal Government with me.' Reaching into his rear pant pocket and removing his badge. The officer proudly displays it to the farmer. 'See this badge? This badge means I am allowed to go wherever I wish..on any land. No questions asked or answers given. Have I made myself clear? Do you understand?'

The old rancher nods politely and goes about his chores. Later, the old rancher hears loud screams and spies the DEA officer running for his life and close behind is the rancher's bull. With every step the bull is gaining ground on the officer. The officer is clearly terrified.

The old rancher immediately throws down his tools, runs to the fence and yells at the top of his lungs..... 'Your badge! Show him your badge!

There is an area of the country where "POT" grows every year. As long as it is not harvested, the gov doesn't seem to bother with them. Back during WWII, there was a gov. research station that was growing it, and the birds have scattered the seeds all over the area. My Uncle used to say he didn't know what was in the stuff, but it sure made the corn grow like nuts. He'd leave a field in "corn-bank" one year, and the following year it will filled with POT trees that were 7 to 10 feet tall. Then, he'd plow them under for green manure. If you tell DEA about it, they tell YOU that YOU have 10 days to get rid of it all. So, the farmers don't say anything, and the gov. doesn't either. I understand that the area where it grows has been getting larger and larger all the time. I know it crossed the county lines in all directions some years ago.
    Destroy the cities...
    and they will rebuild them.
    Destroy the farms...
and grass will grow in the streets of the cities.

Destroy the economy of the blue-collar worker...
and grass will grow in the executive offices.

    The bill has come due.
    ( R E T I R E D , and glad of it)
