Told me to go ahead and deliver my load of Sheetrock to HOUSTON Monday morning. Said, that since he can't contact anyone by phone he assumes they want the load! Let's see, warehouse I am going to in set right against White Oak Bayou, Most of the area has no power.

I think I will show up at the our yard Monday AM and tell them I won't go until I talk to someone there

First place you come to with water over the road, stop and tell dispatch "THEY'RE FLOODED OUT. Go any further, and the tractor and load will be too." See what they say about that.

Yeah, I'm not too worried. I'll show up at the yard Monday and see if we can make contact. If not, I am not going. I really don't have too much to lose, if they fire me I just get a couple week vacation while my hazmat endorsement background check comes back. Already have 2 offers for local runs, both need hazmat though. Took the test and prints this week already. Just waiting for the government.
