What is the address of the Addams Family?
In the TV series 3 different addresses are used
001 Cemetery Lane
Greenbriar
001 Cemetery Lane
Woodlawn
001 North Cemetery Drive
Greenbriar
Greenbriar and Woodlawn are areas or sub-divisions of their mythical city,
though no city or state is given.

Sorry, haven't checked this thread in a few days. Catch-up time.
Um, no. I traded in the original batmobile for a batmoped. In the above pictures TF do you still have that car?
* Raises hand. *And how many of you have had you mouth washed out with soap????
We also got paddled...never left us psychologically damaged either. You remember the paddle-balls? That was the piece of rounded wood with the rubber band and rubber ball that you tried to smack as many times as possible. My mom would buy those and take band and ball off and use it to paddle us when we were deserving, which was fairly often. My brother and I would do our best to hide it. That stopped the day I tossed it behind the fridge and it got wedged down in the coils and started smoking.
And yeah, I got paddled for that, too.
A daily occurance during the spring, summer, and fall. And yeah, we called it Smear the Queer, too.How bout "Kill the guy with the ball".We played that along with kickball, dodgeball, baseball, follow-the-leader, etc. etc, etc....all played outside in the light. And when it was dark? We were playing hide and seek. We only went in when mom and dad called us in.
You can still get Lincoln Logs and buckets of Legos. We also had the big wooden blocks that we would turn into cities or ghost towns for our Hot Wheels.Did you find any??? Other than board games (there are still some good ones). I couldn't even find Lincoln Logs, did find some Tinker Toys and what they hell have they done to Legos???? Now they're all "kits" what about just a bucket of the blocks?
Ah yes, Hot Wheels. The greatest toy ever back then. We would play the paint off those things and then turn around and paint them, making them "new" all over again.I still have about 40 or 50 old hot wheels in mint condition, locked away in my history box. They're worth a bit of money, today.
Yeah, we have a Wii today, along with Guitar Hero III. It's damn fun.I'm the one who wants a Playstation 2 so I can get Guitar Hero. It's a great stress reliever, for me at least. While I certainly miss those days of yesteryear, there are some things today that are just way too fun. Wii is one of them...probably because it takes more than simply pushing buttons.
Every one of those was part of our lives growing up.Electric Football
strap on steel skates
G.I. Joe
Rope / Tire swings
Penny candy

How about Tiny Miny Mos? The wind up trucks that would go anywhere?I still remember that blasted song.
What about kite flying? Man, our whole neighborhood flew kites. We'd get as many spools of string as we could and just keep tying them together. We'd have kites so far up that they would be out of site and were difficult to hold on to. Snapped more than a few kite strings that way.
Bike riding? I had a red Schwinn with a banana seat. Baseball cards in the spokes. Wrecked that thing more times that I can count and it never stopped being rideable.
Let's not forget league baseball. Back then, you had to try out for the team and if you didn't make it, you set up the "Pitch Back" and worked on your pitching and fielding or did the old tennis ball against the front steps exercise. And we also got full uniforms...not the t-shirt teams of today.
There was crawdad hunting. One of the great X-games of the past was to find a crawdad hole and dig it out with bare hands. There was nothing quite as adreneline pumping as putting your arm all the way into a crawdad hole, scooping mud and water out as fast as you could and wondering if you would get him out without him snapping your fingers. And if you lost (which we did plenty of times), it generally drew blood. And we would simply keep doing it...bloody cut, mud, and all...and we never died from an infection.
Wow...the memories. I could go on and on, but I'm going to depress myself.
TF-
I would love to have a Wii, but too much for my budget and too scarce. Where did you find yours? I can't picture you playing Guitar Hero. I'm pretty good at playing on 'medium'
We got ours at Best Buy 2 days before Christmas. It was an unadvertised sale and we happened to be in the right place at the right time.
I've only been playing Guitar Hero for about a month. I have all but 3 songs on the easy level at 5 stars and am most of the way through medium (mostly 3 and 4 stars)...I'm not sure I'll even attempt hard. My daughter, she of the long-fingers, is working on hard right now. She has most of the medium level at 5 stars, including 3 of them perfect gold stars. Yep, she's pretty good at it.![]()
I am now attempting hard. I got through my first song, 'Hit Me With Your Best Shot', on hard. I barely made it thoughOriginally Posted by Twilight Flyer

I remember had had or did all of them....Ummm. What else could we add to the list.Originally Posted by golfhobo
How about Planet of the Apes parachute gorillas or GI Joe Parachuters. Remember those action figures that had the big round sandwich baggie parachute and 8 strings, which got tangled up the first first time you tossed if off your roof or down your stairwell? I can't remember how much time I spent untangling those darn things, just to get them tangled again on the next toss.
Let's see:
Wax pop bottles. Those were the bottle shaped wax containers where you bit off the end and drank the syrup inside?
Silly Putty...'nuff said.
Remember the stuff, (don't remember the name) that was multicolored and all sticky with an odor that rivals most household cleaners? You would put it on the end of a plastic straw and then blow it up. Pull it off the straw and pinch the hole closed and you had a ball...well sort of.I swear, that stuff had to have been industrial waste. But it sure was fun.

My cousin found some of that stuff in the Philippines. She brought it home and my kids discovered it. They make grandpa blow up the balloons.![]()
Talk about a trip down memory lane. 8)
How about those bags of little ( 2" ) army men. Set them up in battle position and have at them with a BB Gun. After hours of that we them progressed to home made "flame-throwers" ( a can of lighter-fluid offers many hours of fun to a kid ) and home-made explosive devices.
Have you ever seen bats come out a dark and chase bugs around the street lights? One of us ( the kids in the neighborhood ) got the bright idea of using our fishing rods with a small spinner on it to try to catch one. ( Sorry TF) IT WORKED! Of course being kids we hadn't thought that far ahead........It was total chaos!... After the police left and all the neighbors returned to their homes for the night.........

Wasp nest. To a kid these things offered all sorts of fun....up to a point. Too bad no one was keeping records. I'm sure I could lay claim to the state record for bee stings.

Any body remember "Clackers"? Two hard plastic-like balls attached to a cord, one on each end with a washer in the middle. They bounced off each other and you could get them going very fast and they hit above the hand and go back down and hit below the hand. They were taken off the market because of broken wrist and sometimes the balls would chip and cause eye injuries.
