As a newbee I've been checking out comments on the web regarding the different trucking companies. The comments remind me of a story I heard several years ago...

A truck driver died and was met by Saint Peter at the Golden Gates of Heaven. Saint Peter said, "This is your lucky day. For the next 24 hours you can check out either Heaven or Hell and then make your decision on where you'd like to go."

The trucker replied, "Well, I know I have lots of friends in Hell so why don't I try that out?"

"Sure" said Saint Peter. And off the trucker went to Hell.

It was WONDERFUL!!! Old friends, parties, lots of beer, girls, card games, fun, and more.

At the end of 24 hours, the trucker told Saint Peter, "Wow, that Hell was great. That's the place for me."

"Okay" said Saint Peter, "sign here". The trucker did and off he went to Hell.

What a surprise. Hell was hot, smoky, noisy and crowded with fires and sulpher fumes everywhere. Finally the trucker started screaming for the Devil. When he arrived, the Devil asked him what was wrong.

"Yesterday was wonderful," said the trucker. Today it's, well, HELL!!!"

"Of course," said the Devil. "Yesterday you were a prospect. Today we've got you signed up."

Footnote: Sound like any companies you've ever worked for?

    Ho Ho Ho

I am retired and looking for my next career. Is it OTR driving?
Looks like the government will pay for all my training costs. Looking seriously at US Trucking Schools. But who to drive for?

Please send me your ideas and suggestions.

    God bless,
    Grandpa John
