It was a cool and gray fall day, the kind that makes you think, here comes another damn winter. I was driving my semi north on hwy 41, you were coming down the get on ramp, I could see how beautiful you were even though you didn't even look to assess the traffic as you pretended to merge on to the highway directly in front of an 80,000 pound truck that can't stop as quick as you. The traffic was slowing ahead and even though I was courteous and slowed even more to let you in, you moved into the lane and proceeded to hit your brakes harder than you needed to,causing me to slam on my brakes and almost hitting you.
I tend to forgive you for not knowing how to properly merge into traffic, because you are beautiful.
I tend to forgive you for not understanding how long it takes to stop a big truck, because you are beautiful.
I tend to forgive you for not being an attentive driver and realizing that traffic was slowing ahead, because you are beautiful.
But,,, I can't seem to forgive myself for not hitting you, because you are beautiful, and at least I could have met you that way!
