Default Spam with a new twist

I got an e-mail today and about fell out of my chair laughing. You've all gotten the "help me unload my dead nigerian father's $20 million stash". Well, check this one out!

    Good day,

I want you to read this message very carefully, and keep the secret with you till further notice, You have no need of knowing who i am, where am from, till i make out a space for us to see, i have been paid $50,000.00 in advance to terminate you with some reasons listed to me by my employers, its one i believe you call a friend, i have followed you closely for one week and three days now, i have your phone, computer and cell phone bug even your home telephone. I am monitoring whatever you are doing and if you try to act stupid then i shall proceed. Also doing this i have seen that you are innocent of the accusation, Do not contact the police or F.B.I. or try to send a copy of
this to them, because if you do i will know, and might be pushed to do what i have being paid to do, beside, this is the first time I turned out to be a betrayer in my job.

Now, listen, i will arrange for us to see face to face but before that i need the amount of $100,000.00 and you will have nothing to be afraid of. I will be coming to see you in your office or home determine where you wish we meet, do not set any camera to cover us or set up any tape to record our
conversation, my employer is in my control now, You will need to pay $40,000.00 to the account i will provide for you, before we will set our first meeting, after you have make the first advance payment to the account, i will give you the tape that contains his request for me to terminate you, which will be enough evidence for you to take him to court (if you wish to), then the balance will be paid later.

You don't need my phone contact for now till am assured you are ready to comply good.

    Lucky You.
So, should I call the U.S. Marshalls? I am still waiting for a call back from the FBI about getting me into the Witness Protection Program.

Well, as soon as I get my half of the $20 million from Akabar Anubi's dead uncle whose cash I helped move, I'll pay up. Until then, maybe someone can loan me $100K?

oh. sorry.. the letter was original anyway, I would be really scared.. perhaps he could just collect some of the money that twilight flyer won in the nigerian lottery, that would save everybody a lot of trouble

A while back I got an email that seemed very real; said it was from my internet provider, and that they were having problems getting payments from me, etc. It looked EXACTLY like an email that I would normally get from them (for monthly statements); it said I needed to re-submitt my payment info; I clicked on it & then my computer told me it was a 'fraud email'; I called my provider and they knew NOTHING about it and said they were NOT having any payment issues w/me.

I get those from paypal, ebay, and various banks rather frequently. Generally, I right click whatever link it provides in the email, then choose properties, that tells you what address the link will send you to. I have yet to have one actually direct me to the company's website...and unless they do I don't click them. Period.

I pay my IP by snail mail only. I pay only once a year and they send me the bill in the mail. I stay away from Ebay and that Paypal stuff.

Twi, I hope you forwarded that email to the authorities in all seriousness. Let them do their thing with it because some senile fools will easily fall for it and freak out.

I'd just press the DELETE button. Another scam. Damn there are a ton of them. Who has the time to send them over and over.
Do they really think I'm going to buy something from them after being spammed 20 times for the same thing?
