Now I'm usually the first one to say that life is too short to eat crappy food. But I gotta hand it to T/A. I can't honestly see how they are making money in their restaurants anymore. I just got done eating 1 1/2 lbs of sirloin steak, 6 eggs, 6 slices of toast, plus hash browns. I paid $8.99 for the honor.
That's way too good a deal to pass up.

Nah, that was just dinner. In fact, I might need a snack before bed.

You do realize, of course, that you'll have to do ALL of the loading and unloading of your truck in order to wear that off.:eek1:

Yes. I pooped. It was glorious. I also ate three orders of french toast this morning, as well as 2 orders of grilled chicken and mashed potaters last night. I'm such a fatty.

After all these posts, this is now off topic but here goes.......
I have read somewhere about this All You Can Eat deal. My question is this at all T/A's? Is the food any good, or is it like the dried up stale food that i got from the "All you want to eat" buffet at the Iron Skillet? Maybe not enough people ate the buffet, but the food was pretty stale.

t/a's "food" is an insult to food everywhere. their "all you can eat" menu is more like an "all you can crap down the road" menu. their "food" is just as terrible as the crap the flying j in pecos, tx serves. make sure to have a bucket and empty garbage bag ready once the gut rumbling begins.

No, they make it as you order it. Not all of them do the all you can eat menu. Some places are better than others at it. I've had places where it took them 15 minutes to bring me 2 eggs, toast, and hash browns in an empty restaurant. I've had other places where as soon as they brought me my plate of food, they asked me if I wanted another order. It's hit and miss.

So.... in the places that DO offer it, is it ANYTHING on the menu? You just pay 9 bucks and eat anything and all you want? I mean, can you change from ONE dish to another? Or is it just all you want of one selection?
I can't argue with the description of the buffets in most T/A's.... but, I like their steak dinners better than Petro OR Flyin' hook!
What about dessert? Does that include all the pie and ice cream you want?

It's just like a regular menu. You order something, but you can get as much of that thing as you want. Extra helpings of that item are free.

Yes, if you order pie or ice cream, you can get as many servings of pie or ice cream as you want. ANYTHING on the menu. But it has to be eaten in the restaurant.
