aFTER ONE OF MY DRIVE TIRES BLEW OUT NEAR BOWIE, I PULLED OVER FOR A BIT, CHECKED IT OUT, CALLED THE COMPANY, TOLD THEM OF THE SITUATION, AND THEY WANTED ME TO HEAD OVER TO T/A IN WILLCOX. I WAS ON MY WAY WHEN SUDDENLY, MORE OF THE TREAD ON ONE OF THE DRIVE TIRES CAME OFF. HE PULLED ME OVER AND DID A DAMN UNCALLED FOR LEVEL 4 INSPECTION ON ME! CAN YOU BELIEVE THE NERVE OF THAT COP? WHO DOES HE THINK HE IS?! I AM A DAMN TAX PAYER IN THIS STATE. HE SHOULD BE HAPPY SOME OF MY TAXES ARE GOING INTO HIS SALARY!
no tickets were issued. just a warning and out of service order. this thread was done in jest.

That thread that came off could have killed old granny going down the interstate. I dont see why would you be this mad, you didnt even get a ticket for it, be happy.
Cop was doing his job, i dont see nothing wrong with him pulling over a vehicle that is operating in an unsafe manner.....and a flat tire qualifies i think.

Geez Dejanh, are you that thick headed man? Did you miss the bottom of Sy's post with the disclaimer part or do you not understand the meaning of "in jest?" He wasn't mad, he was doing it to get a laugh. Grow up and stop attempting to be the cyber cop for a PC Internet. Like we all didn't already know that the flying tread could have killed someone......how about telling us something we don't already know.

Well i kinda thought it was funny because it is actually what a lot of truckers sound like in the truckers only section of a truck stop diner. It was a tongue n cheek post. Please do as Francis was once told and lighten up!

Be carefull in AZ with that. Last November i got pulled over and ticketed for a flat tire.Plus they put it in my driving record ,as a criminal offense. So yeah i had to learn that one the hard way and learn my lesson.

word. there's a pretty massive presence of arizona dps all along i-10 for the last few days. it seemed that there was one regular squad car or motor carrier enforcement officer vehicle every 5 to 10 miles. i imagine the presence of dps will continue throughout the weekend.
there was also a nasty wreck along eastbound i-10 at the i-8 junction. a medi-vac chopper was circling and getting ready to land. fortunately i was going westbound. i imagine eastbound ended up being closed.
yes, i realize i got off lucky. even after the level 4 inspection. maybe "the kev" will give some words of wisdom on this subject. :smokin:

Next time you get pulled over and they try to give you a level 4 inspection call the U.S. Marshall hotline and tell them you have a "Code Charlie". Someone will be dispatched from the nearest office to stop the inspection. PM me for the number.

i'll keep that in mind! thanks! i remember being at the mccall, al flying j back in january. there was some idiot going on, and on, and on about how messed up the boston police are, and that he was issued several citations for various parking offenses in one night. somebody then suggested, with a smart-ass smirk on his face, that he'd better call the "fedral marshals." some of us got the joke and began laughing. the guy, however, believed in it to the fullest, got their number, and actually called them. dunno what actually happened about the call since my shower opened up just as he got on the pay phone.
Shame on you shame on you. You are challenging people again.
Reminds of one of the oldest stories told in colleges.
It's a test that is given out as a final exam. With instructions on the top that says - Read all questions and
instructions prior to proceeding.
#1 Write your name in top right hand corner
#2 Write the date below your name
#3 thru 15 questions regarding to the class
#16 (and Final one) Only due #1 and #2 and turn in paper and have a nice day.
The story goes on to describe how many do as instructed (very few) the most who answered all the questions. Guess how many people failed the test.
