I read that some drivers want to either sell their truck or park it to get a local job. Local to me is home every night and no or very few weekends. What makes a good local job to you? What kind of pay do you expect? What kind of benefits, vacation, etc.. Anything and everything that you can think of to explain what a good local job is. I have a local job, and I also want to become an o/o,but until the economy picks up and seems to be able to stay that way I am going to stay where I am at.

I am home every nite except for thursday nite (my choice not to be home thursday nites). home every weekend, home every holiday. I average less than 1,000 miles a week, but i earn about $900-$1,000 a week. no touch freight, health insurance, I.R.A. fund, between 1 and 4 weeks vacation (depending on how long you've been here), christmas bonus, summer cook-out, gift cards at thanksgiving. plus if i need a day or a week off i get it. it's not perfect, but it work for me. (for now).......
