ridges on the floor

Can anyone suggest a way to keep floors clean when they have those ridges in them? Vacuuming is good for dirt
But not for grime. Short of usiNg a qtip I'm at a loss.

ribbed flooring needs a smaller brush and a wet rag to keep nice and clean. Crappy for sock feet too, I cut up an inexpensive Walmart rubber backed hall rug to use on a ribber floor. The trimmings fit under the pedals/in front of the driver's seat, the rest fit between the bunk and the shifter.

I prefer to high mile in my socks, sweaty feet and northern temps don't mix!

You can buy some small rugs at Pilot for about $3.00. Just lay them down under your feet and vacuum the carpet or throw away when they get too dirty. I used to have some that I could throw in the washer. Once you get the floor clean you put those down and it can really help keep the inside of your truck clean. Getting a shoe brush for the top step of your truck can also help reduce grime and dirt inside your truck. I have known of some who will get rubber mats for the drivers side to use in winter. It keeps snow and mud confined more to the drivers side of the truck. Once you get the floor clean it helps to put something on top of the floor to minimize dirt.

Ask a van driver.

As a van driver, I would keep some of the rubber non-slip mats the paper companies threw down under the large paper rolls. They served this purpose well, also work well as kneeling pads. Most consignee's leave em in the trailer after unloading thier paper, they look at em as extra trash.

Best of all, they're free.

When I've moved in to some negelected trucks in the past I got 2 buckets, 1 with clean water, 1 with detergent water, a small stiff bristle scrub brush, and a hand-help sponge with mop-like "fingers" that absorb really well (all from wal mart)

Simply start in the back in front of the sleeper, wet the floor and scrub well a small area, then "mop" up the dirt and excess water, and continually rinse and wring the sponge, and repeat the process out thru both doors.

Once you get the imbedded grime scrubbed out then use rugs in the center area, and a deep ridged HD rubber mat (as large as will fit) in front of the drivers seat to hold tracked in dirt until you can shake out the mat.
