That kind of home time would get a LOT of people interested... Also, could there be a possibility that there is money made above and beyond the mileage? If not, yeah, that deal kinda sucks.

I'm sure there is drop pay ($15-$40) and doing intermodal I'm sure you will do several drops a day. If not then it is a raw deal. But I'm sure someone will take it in this economy.
A. It's a job
B. It may be all a newbie can get right now
C. It keeps the experience current and up to date and will help in getting a job down the road when things pick up.
D. The hometime may look good to some.
E. May be the perfect opportunity for someone that is semi-retired.
F. Perfect opportunities for gluttons of abuse.

I found the SAME job opening on a webpage. harrisburghelpwanted.com Here they actually tell you you will average $850 a week. I dont think they tell you the cpm there. But since its JB I was too afraid to go for that job anyway.

I remember seeing a number of intermodel jobs including that one on the board when I worked for that company. I don't believe the pay was anything like that. I'm thinking misprint. Several intermodel guys I talked to that worked out of Lithia Springs, GA (Atlanta) loved the job. Home every night but they were making $600/week or so. Still, home every night with 2 days off has its advantages

While a bit on the low side, $600/week and home every night isn't all that bad, but JB's ad gives a driver $375/week verbatim. Some could be more, some could be less, depending on mileage. If there are extras such as drops, hooks, delays, etc, you'd think they'd advertise them.

Your right on the pay. The guys pay, as in most driving jobs, went up and down. The people I talked to said the $600 was an average over several months so its a pretty good read on what your going to do. I, personally would never take a job at .25/mile and I don't care what the drop and hooks, stops and other pay was. Drop and hooks and the rest, you can't count on.
