Does anyone know the age of a truck at which the adaptability of Qualcomm becomes an issue? Or is it basically; If the engine is electronically controlled, then it should be compatible?
Thanks

If all you want to do is communicate it shouldnt matter if it is an electronic engine or not. Our quad axle trucks have qualcoms and mechanical engines.

Well, I was thinking beyond the basic communication. If you are leased to a carrier and they insure you, most will likely want to keep an eye on your driving habits.
A qualcomm has a gps tracking system. They can track your truck in real time. That is really all they need to know. You can communicate with them and they can track your truck. Based upon your position they can calculate your average speed and route. If you own the truck that is all that they need to know.

Yes, I suppose you are right. One would think that should be enough information.
Thanks for the replies.
