OTR driver position

Dedicated reefer lane out of Fridley MN, to California.
Requirements:

Live within 200 mile radius (Driver allowed to take tractor home)-or willing to relocate
At least twenty-five years old
Minimum of two years current verifiable driving experience during previous three years
No more than three moving violations in the past three years
No more than one no-fault accident in the past three years
No reckless/careless driving or DWIs in the past five years

REEFER/OTR experienced candidate will be given preference

Spouses and Children are welcome to ride along, and we allow you to bring your pet.

Company driver is required to make 3 trips per month no more, or less, with flexible scheduling.

Starting pay is $45,000 per year SALARY, based on 3 trips per month. Pay is settled for each trip immediately upon completion. Pay/performance review after 6 months.

That's going to be at the very least,145,000 miles a yr.,at
.35CPM driver pay,that should shake out to almost $51,000 a yr.!!!

Some facts as of present: in the last 8 months, DOT stats indicate just over 65,000 drivers have been laid off. We have overwhelming responses thus far for this position. If a driver has managed to stay employed, many are getting little to no miles with loads highly intermittent.

Right now with numerous folks vying for a few jobs here, having a guaranteed salary of over 45K plus bonuses is a good deal.

The salary is reviewed after six months, and is raised to the high forties, low fifties upon passing the performance review.

We value our drivers, and our checks don't bounce.

To the above poster, we appreciate the comments, and greatly value our drivers. Unfortunately in this economic environment, we can only pay what the industry will bear. I know folks making .50 cpm.........with no miles! At least with a guaranteed salary, guys know what they are dealing with, and enjoy who they are driving for. These are important attributes. As the market recovers, and shippers can demand more for our services, we will raise driver pay accordingly, as they are the glue of the team. Having a "CPM" mind set is often the downfall of drivers who don't take in the whole picture.
