4yrs

i have my license back for over a year now and one year of work history under
my belt my credit score is 600 - 700 but i cant seem to get a job as a trucker everyone
says its easy but it seems to be too damn hard for me

these are the companies i have applied for and was turned down

1. Prime / not enough work history

2. Cr england / license suspended longer than a year. My wait time is september of 09

3. Crst / not enough work history

now far as schools

roadmaster / 6000.00+ did not turn me down but i do have to pay 1800.00usd

You know, you can drop $6K down on a school and still be in the exact same situation you are in now. The MVR is a kicker...most companies will not work with a driver that has suspensions for tickets or points until that suspension is more than 5 years ago. Suspensions for failure to appear, failure to pay, child support, and stuff like that usually aren't going to be an issues. But suspension for tickets is a really bad thing.

You're best bet is to continue doing what you are doing and get those suspensions and tickets all beyond 5 years old and then get absolutely nothing else. But in the meantime, you're wasting your money if you go to school. Wait until your MVR is clear and then get with a school that can guarantee placement. If they won't, move on somewhere else.

Damn thats bad some of the ppl told me that the reason i'm not accecpted
is because i need schooling and they feel like if they pay for the schooling i would quit (companies)

now two of my cousins are truckers and i was thinking of doing the writtin part of the test and have them teach me how to drive it then may be one of the million companies that are out there would give me a shot

Blake, I have some bad news for you.

The only thing worse than a bad driving record and lack of work history is someone who did not goto CDL school. At least in the eyes of the insurance industry, and that is who tells me who can drive my truck.

Sounds like nothing but time will fix your ills.
